A Kurdish security official was wounded and two of his body guards killed when a magnetic bomb attached to his car exploded this morning in Kirkuk.
Two civilians were also reportedly injured in the blast that targeted the co-chief of the Tuz Khurmatu Asayish (Kurdish security police), Nawzad Kareem.
Deputy Mayor of Tuz Khurmatu, Shalal Abdul, told AKnews that the bomb, detonated by remote control, went off at 7.45am on a bridge on the road from Kirkuk to Baghdad.
The two bodyguards killed in the incident have been identified as Imad Mohammed and Sherzad Ahmed.
